I'm Bonnie Maness, full time Mommy to my precious two year old daughter Brianna (otherwise known as B). I relish every second I spend with her and am so grateful I am given the opportunity to spend my days in her world. Our days are full of messy fun and counting down the minutes until my fabulous husband, Philip, comes home from work.
It took me a while to learn, but I now know my greatest accomplishments in life are what comes of out of these four walls. No career I ever had will compare to my career as a homemaker. For several months I bucked it, but I have learned to embrace it. Once I took the plunge, I found I actually adored it! DIY-ing, sewing, crafting, playdates, even the endless piles of dishes and laundry, and the constant messes in a just "cleaned" house....it is ME.
In addition to being a wife and mama, I am obsessed with photography. I see life through the viewfinder and being behind the lens equates to my sublime happiness. I didn't pick up a camera until she was born, and now I don't think I will ever put it down!
I also love Jesus! If you don't know Him, I highly suggest changing that. I struggle with organization. Love coffee. (I drink an embarrassing amount each day...and night) Like every woman, am addicted to Pinterest. I love stalking blogs. StyleberryBlog, Money Saving Mom, Like a Warm Cup of Coffee, and Evoking You are some of my favorites! I am learning how to be frugal, but I haven't quite mastered the whole "down to one income" concept yet. (Much to my sweet husband's demise!)
I am both troubled and fascinated by Martyrs. The fact that it is 2012 and people are still being persecuted, imprisoned, and killed for their beliefs is appalling to me. Their courage amazes me. It is so easy to forget how fortunate we are to be free. If you would like to help you can write prisoners letters, write government officials, donate money, and read about the multitudes are being persecuted for their religious beliefs here.
